Description

The Engineer class of the Russian Ground Forces in Battlefield 4. THe guy is armed with the Saiga 12K shotgun and RPG-7V2, while she is armed with the AS Val.

There was an older version with her wielding a PP-19 but then i realised that the Bizon PP-19 would not be in Battlefield 4

What's her insignia, on the beret? VDV? Marines?

They aren't as battle hardened as their superior officers who served in the great BF3 War (2010-) but they still show potential and serve the motherland with utmost dedication.

I like your design for the female Russian engineer! The red beret harkens back to the the Russian medic skin from Bad Company 2.

the red beret was sort of a tribute to one of the Russian airborne regiments, its hard to tell but i tried to get the group's badge on it

It's great that they actually look like Russians. You really nailed it with the facial features.

Thanks!
I had to do some changes from how I originally drew her on paper, since I wasn't completely satisfied with it. And I was kinda worried that she would end up not looking like a typical Russian, but I had a story in my head that she was from the eastern region or something

Good coloring, though, the AS VAL has a black fore end.

Russians don't care much for standards in their rifles and uniforms, I've seen VALs with Bakelite furniture, polymer etc etc

Really digging the saturation in these, normally military-style things immediately equals desaturation for dat gritty feel.. but this is perfect :0

I'm well aware of the poor standardization of the Russian military, but you will not find AS VALs with anything but black furniture.
The VSS, which it is technically a version of, never had anything but black fore ends and wood stocks. No Russian weapons have used anything but wood fore end or black polymer, excluding the bullpup prototypes with the weird mechanism.
