"Your Princess is in MY Castle!!" the figure roared and the monitor went blank. The quintent of Hissi stared at it for several long minutes, jaws partly open in varying degrees of shock....

Then all at once the entire group erupted into fits of laghter, chattering all at once.

"Did you see those ships?!?"
"How does he expect us to take him seriously...??"
"What was that name again, King Poopa? Troopa?...??"
"What was his hang-up about plumbers?"

Amidst the laughter, one of them pressed a small button. A moment later a smartly dressed Hissi entered the room and snapped to attention... then raised an eyeridge at all the laughter and her stance relaxed considerably.

"I trust that this threat is not so severe as first anticipated?" the newcomer asked.

"No, not at all..." the apparent leader of the group answered, wiping a tear of laughter from one eye,"It seems this idiot thinks he has a hostage of such value we dare not act against him."

"Yeah..." another piped up,"He thinks he's got a PRINCESS...." and most of the group dissolved into laughter again.

"Princess?" the officer asked carefully,"Who is it?"

"It looked like "Lady" Asmelia's youngest, the all white one." came the answer, with exaggerated air quotes around the title.

"I see..." the commander noted, an eye quirking slightly and a sliver of a smile touching her lips. Only military training kept her from joining the officials in laughter,"What is our response then?"

"Send in a strike team, put a detachment on reserves if we need it. Blow this nutjob completely from the mortal coil."

"And the hostage?"

"Do whatever you can to rescue her, but I won't put anyone else in danger simply to rescue one spoiled brat." came the answer. The commander saluted and turned on her heel out of the door, letting it snap closed behind her.

"Can you believe he thinks he's superior simply because he has a shell?" one of them asked... and the rest dissolved into giggles again....

Yeah, the Hissi never really went for a Monarchy style of structure in their governments, mostly because the idea of a birthline is a rather foreign concept. They don't have last names, and while there is family loyalty, the idea of someone being worthy to lead simply because you gave her birth never clicked with the Hissi....

Lessons Learned: I tried to keep the outfit I used with Birdo, with some minor adjustments. And I remembered to add a crown this time, it was harder then it looked.
