Description
My ATC for March done for ~shinobi-fi .Getting to draw a creepy Goth-chick? Hell yeah! That's always fun. : )
I'm actually ok with the scan. It made everything a little too pixely and I still think the original is much better but it's acceptable. Much like the card itself. I rarely ink things so it's not exactly my strong point but after an earlier attempt with colors that I really just wasn't feeling, I decided to stick with pen and pencil. Not my best work but I kinda dig it and it was definitely great practice. Hopefully ~shinobi-fi will too.

mwuaha I love it
Great detail work. The pen and ink actually make a great combination here. The dark outlines really pop with the subtle shading of the pencil.
Are you able to send this to me? If so I can note you my address. If not thats understandable too ^^

Great! I'm really glad you like it. Your work is so trippy and surreal that I instantly was drawn to it and was very pleased that I got to do work for you.
And I would love to send this to you. I think the card's better in person so definitely send me your address and I'll get it mailed to you as soon as I can.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like. I really had fun with the angle of her face and once I doodled that out, everything else just really seemed to come together.
And thanks for the fav, BTW. Always appreciated.

Thank you very much! I love going crazy with details whenever I get the chance. The size of the ATC makes it a little trickier but it's still lots of fun.

Nice composition, and I think it's certainly one of your best in your gallery in that aspect. It certainly has a nice flow to it. It's always wonderful to try new things and get better at them.

Haha, thank you very much, hon. I actually wasn't even thinking about composition here but I'll definitely take it. I just felt like playing around, particularly with face angels (I've been doing that a lot lately) and this just sorta came about from a random scribble. I certainly like it a lot better than my first attempt which, to me, was a lot plainer even with being mostly colored. But thanks again. I always value your comments and opinions, lovely.

I like the gears! I like how you used a mix between pencil and ink instead of erasing the pencil!

Thank you, hon. We actually had the theme of steampunk in addition to the the person we where assigned to's request. I really don't know much about steampunk (even though I like the genre, what I've heard of it) so I was like, throw some gears there! That'll work.
And I'm glad you like the blend of the inks and the pencil. I think pencil works great for shading inks, especially if you get the chance to smudge everything on the computer. Here, the scan made the pencil look a little rough but I still like it, especially the original.
Are you gonna sign up for next month? I hope so!

Oh, just wait for the next sign up. It'll probably be very soon since we just finished this month's. A journal will go out asking for participants and then you just put down your info. They keep it pretty simple.

OH MAN, this looks SO cool!! I love the realism in her features, and all the detail I bet looks even better in real life. AWESOME. Great job, especially for a first time!

Aww, thank you lovely! You're very sweet to say so. Yeah, I definitely do like it better in real life and at a smaller size but as I mentioned before, the scan actually turned out better than I thought it would. So I'm happy with that. And I'm glad you like the realism. I've actually been trying to work on that a bit so I happy you said something. And thank you for the fav!

Oh, awesome! I'm in favor of well-done, attractive realism, so it's good to see it. I'm glad the scanner treated you well-- mine tends to be much kinder with black and white than color, so that might have worked in your favor.

Yeah, I think that's also a little why I avoid color work. I've heard so many horror stories that I just wanted to keep it simple my first time around.
