Did this for my final project for two of my classes... Basically a style test for a game, working title "Nine". First half of the first cutscene, more or less.I'm hoping I can get the basic engine for this game working over the summer, enough to make a tutorial level. One of quite a number of goals, actually, because grad school has made me crazy.
So, uh, yeah... Unfinished cutscene. I think I'll redo the design for Raven later, but we'll see where it goes. And the music is only vaguely along the style of what I want. I'll hunt me down a composer later.
Any critique or suggestions much appreciated!

You probably know but the music stops after the first loop. I actually like that the back ear isn't filled in when the fox lands and how it's not colored in the lines perfectly, it is a really interesting style. When the fox is falling though the straight line of the mountain is a little distracting, maybe if it was at and angle or bumpy it wouldn't be as bad.
Love the designs for both characters, really really hope you post more from this

Oh, that one was a lucky find... Found a high resolution picture of a canvas that had been painted just a base coat of very uneven blue - just enough paint to have that beautiful brushed texture, but not enough to obscure the woven texture of the canvas. I can upload the file if you want?
It's converted to black and white so it doesn't interfere with my colors, and then I played with it until I got it just the way I wanted - ended up with a layer of is at opacity 26% in blending mode Multiply, with a second layer at opacity 14% in Normal blending mode. Mixing layers and blending modes is a great way to fine-tune a texture.
