Shadow of the Colossus is on the rather short list of things I completely fangirl over. And given the fact that I borrowed 's PS2 just so I could finish it, I thought it about time that I draw some fanart. Even if it ended up pretty much the same as a lot of the other fanart that's already out there.Relatedly, I finally beat it just yesterday. I had been stuck standing on the right hand of the final boss, apparently one shot of an arrow away from its vitals, for more than a year. Problem being that I don't own a PS2.
So anyway, now that I've actually seen the ending, I'm going to go draw some fanart of a completely different nature, because damn do I want to draw baby Wander.

Sorry to be a grammer nazi but its colossus not colosus. So strange, the presence or absence of a single "S" can be the difference between awesome fan art and crappy sonic knock offs.

Haven't played this much, not since I got a PS3, I beat like the first 4 bosses then got PS3 haven't played it since.

Aw, thank you! Sadly, I know exactly how I ought to tweak it to make it a lot better, but I haven't gotten back to it - I got a lot of tips for small adjustments from my drawing teacher, who does work on backgrounds for animation movies. (It's actually pretty amazing how much a little re-framing and a couple other small changes make it so much better....)

The thumbnail in my message center looked like a seriously freaky ghost. Mind you, I've never found ghosts freaky, so I'd consider that a good thing. When I saw it up close I could totally tell it was a colossus, so no worries there.

Thank you! Alas, the detail is so dark, it's hardly a wonder it looks a bit silly small.
And Ico's sitting on top of the PS2, just waiting for my next stretch of guilty gaming time. (So much homework, so much homework...) Sadly, it's the other PS2 game I own but haven't finished thanks to the lack of a console, and also I'm actually delaying playing it to draws arts.... but... Gah, you just made me remember the fact that I wanted to play Ico back when it was first released! It's been so long...
Now excuse me while I go hunt down some of the other games I've wanted to play for an entire console generation, because damn if it isn't pathetic I haven't.

Ico is one of those games that can take anywhere from 4 hours to 20+, so if you wanted you could find a good walkthrough and wiz through it. Ico's just as awesome as SotC, so if you ever someday find the time, you should totally go for it.
But I know how that is to have more games then you can play. x_x

So good! I wish more people have seen and heard of this game. I think it's one of those gems that you discover that few others know about.... like Guardian of the Sacred Spirit... but really it's Shadow of the Colossus ; ) You really captured the mood of the game incredibly well! And look you included all the characters! And the horse! Look at that horse! I bet you it'd kick anyone's a$$ walking down a spiral staircase. ; )

You bet that horse could walk down a spiral staircase. But it might lose its head in the process.
And yeah, every character... but the dead girl. But it would be a bit odd to have her just lying around somewhere.
