Saltfur is the first to volunter for a mission, regardless of the danger involved. He will stick up for any of his clan mates even if they hasd been fighting recently. Saltfur will not throw the first swing, but he will probably be the one to start the fight in the first place. When around cats outside of his clan, he is more reserved, not wanting to come off as threatening.

Dry Humored
Saltfur can be very sarcastic. He does not seem to be disrespectful, it is simply what he finds funny. He considers anyone that can make him laugh a friend. Saltfur's smart remarks can sometimes get him into trouble, but he can take everything he gives. He doesn't mind being the butt of the jokes sometimes and knows how to laugh at himself. He doesn't mean to cross the line, but inevetably it happens. He doesn't really understand why someone is hurt by what he says, he sees it only as friendly jokeing.

Loyal
Saltfur is a stickler for the rules. He is the last one to brake the rules, but the first to tell a cat off for it. He always thinks of his clan before himself, regarless of the situation. He will not seek a mate from another clan, seeing it as the ultimate taboo. He hangs on to every intruction his leader gives to the letter. His heart is completely apart of Shadowclan, in every part of his being.

Ambitious
Saltfur one day wishes to become leader of Shadow clan. He tries to show his eagerness by volutering to lead patrols and being a good warrior. Some can see this a fault, but he only wishes to be useful to his clan. His biggest fear is not being able to be useful. He dreads the day he is injured and must retire from his duties.

Brotherly
Saltfur treats everyone like a little brother/sister. (given they don't out right insult him) Tigersun, Copperpaw, i'm looking at you He likes to help younger cats through rough patches in their lives and help them solve their problems. Even if you barely know him, he would gladly protect you during a battle, and always have your back.

Phantomscream has known the brunt of this, but now it has become more prominent due to the loss of his mate. He has come to fear loosing anyone else. He wants to be able to keep those he loves close and safe, and that they will never hurt again. He is willing to jump into battle for everyone of his friends, he is also willing to be the cat to lean on when they need help.

because of the death/disappearance of his former mate, Icerift, Saltfur was really heartbroken. He had really came to care for the spunky she-cat. He came to trust her more then anyone else, and was really torn up about loosing her. He wants someone to lean on, and this might cause a rebound relationship. He is desperate to fill that hole that was left when she disappeared.

Breif backstory: When he was born, Saltfur was brought into the Shadowclan camp by his father and was introduced as his son. IT was never said who his mother was, but it was always speculated that he was the a kit of a thuder clan queen. Nothing was ever proven and no one held it agienst him.
Kit: Saltfur was a spunky little kit that wanted to get into everything. Since he was an only kit with only a father, he was a little spoiled by the whole clan; but, his father kept him in line and spent alot of time trying to teach him what it ment to be a warrior.
Aprentice: Saltfur never really grew out of his fluffy kit fur (that stays with him now, even as a warrior). He worked hard to please his mentor, but he was clumsy and sometimes fell short. He got into plenty of trouble, as all apprentices do, and always made up for it in his punishments as his father always taught him.
Warrior: Finally, Saltfur hit his stride. He was no longer the clumsy apprentice of moons past, but a strong loyal warrior, bold and brave, ready to leap into battle at a moment's call. He dreams of one day becomeing leader or his clan, but knows many cats are greater then him and knows there can be only one leader, but every great leader needs a clan of strong and loyal cats.

Saltfur crept through the underbrush, rolling his shoulders with each smooth, silent, pawstep. His grey striped tail hovered just above the pine needles in an expert hunter's crouch. His ears folded agienst his head, the pale tabby tom slid forward, keeping his narrowed amber eyes keen on the sparrow fluttering a few tail lengths ahead of him. it's wing is broken he observed, shifting slightly as the wind shifted to as to keep his scent from reaching the bird. Lowering his weight to his hunches, Saltfur cleared the space between himself and the bird, pinning it easily to the ground and finishing it of with a quick bite to it's neck. "Thank Starclan for this prey to feed my clan." he breathed softly over the body of the bird before covering it with pine needles and contiuneing on with hunting.
