Gave another go at a realistic mon, I tried implementing a few things I learned from a material rendering workshop I attended this weekend!The black parts of Embroar are Obsidian, although it looks a lot like wood awhghghg
One of the things I want to try is putting these characters in a more lively pose or at least in action at one point haha
I realize I do too many standing poses and that's boring! The next will probably be dynamic.

Onward to the picture, I love Embroar's yellow metal decoration on it's belt! You've done well draw both light and darkness. Also I agree it need some dynamics, instead for a standing pose. Just saying, I think this is one of these good exercises for digital art. So I'll put a note next to me about Digital Art practises, just so I can remember on my spare time.
