Thanks, I really appreciate that. I took the technique from Houdon, a French old master.

It's a really effective technique I borrowed from Jean-Antoine Houdon where he scoops out the iris, drills a hole for the pupil and leaves a little post of clay (or marble) to catch the light. You can see it in his bust of Thomas Jefferson if you click on the picture to enlarge it: [link]
