Ms. Fortune from Skullgirls.
It's 24th November and to celebrate, we haz no cheeseburger but a fanart piece for one of our favourite game characters on her special day. Hailing from one of the most beautifully crafted and fluidly animated of 2D fighting games, comes the adorable feline Feral of the Skullgirls series.

I agree with Lukah! The POV/perspective of this piece. Yeah it's an adorable pin-up, but its also so we get a good look at her. If we had a bird's eye, she wouldnt come off as powerful and playful as here. She'd look more defenseless/submissive, so I'm glad you used this very fitting pov of her!^^Ā
I dont know the character, but I wanted to ask about the leg thing. The fluff looks backwards, does it turn outwards or backwards-forward? It's not a bother, but I'm curious! :D

Thanks, Keali; The fact that she is able to contort and dismember her body parts made her a fun character to experiment with postures. Whilst she can be portrayed as a ferocious strong fighter with action poses, I wanted to portray the more cute/playful side of her so am delighted to hear it's shown here
Based on the official character art , am not sure if it's supposed to be fur, fluff or torn ragged fabric from her pant-leggings. Observing her in-game animated sprites suggests they just fan outwards from the side of her thighs, but I guess I didn't really notice it.

Dont worry about the fur/fluff/fabric, it's not that noticeable. ^^ Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I actually prefer your rendition of her. :3cĀ

This is a really fun composition, I like the low point of view, almost feels like maybe we're a head on the ground too haha

Was tricky in deciding on a specific pose for her, especially for a character with a flexible body and articulate limbs who can contort her body in so many ways. Once we settled for a more playful cat-like and kneeling posture, we had to lower the POV angle in order to for us to show more of her frontal body-... I mean, her clothes... Yeah...
Haha, was thinking the low angle like those typical 3D fighting game victory screenshots, but yeah it's way funnier imagining this as the POV of another disembodied head on the ground

Now that you mention it, it does look like a victory scene!
Honestly that could still fit with the decapitated head pov thing, or at least laying on the ground
like the view is the defeated foe, and she's gloating haha
