TEE: "Well it's a little later than planned, but it's mid-June so it's time for a summer sketch! Wishing everyone an enjoyable summer and for those in the middle of academic studies, we wish you the best of luck on any exams still pending and hope you will take this opportunity too to have a pleasant break from your hard work."
Hitomi-chan: *blushes* "Oh my, me in a swimsuit? So embarrassing!" *sighs* "Jeez, that's so bold of Tee to summer sketch both of us while I was still doing my summer sketch..." *shy smiles* "Ah, but anyways, we hope everyone's having a fun and enjoyable summer too! Let's all do our best!"
Neko-chan: *swimming* "......" O.O

Haha, well I couldn't think of a decent way to render water in an anime style, especially since this (primarily) Vector art piece was done in Macromedia Flash MX with my amateur skills and knowledge. I confess I referred to water screenshots from the Pokemon anime, since I felt that my 'cel-shading' style would closely resemble the art style of the episodes
I've recently been experimenting with Paint Tool SAI, so I'll hopefully be able to find a better alternative to render water in this slightly new colouring style I've adopted

Well my summer is ok so far and thanks for asking. Your art is so neet and sharp. That may be because you have a nice use of vector art. My art is just a mess because i try to do all free hand, so when i go to your art page its like going to a diffrent world.

oh yes. UK is especially infamous in America for being frightfully rainy and dreadful... but maybe you can stop by America and sunbathe a little in California, Florida, or New York. :3 Preferably New York since that's where I live. >w<
It was 97 degrees here today, which wasn't fun.... And then a thunderstorm came in... so it's rainy and humid.... perhaps you should stay in the UK after all. >.<
The lighting effect is genius. Its has almost the perfect bright balance of light that water actually reflects when being hit with light. One look and I felt so Summer-y, like I was staring at a pool. Every time I look at it, between the lighting of the water, Hitomi's cute expression and everything else going on the picture, I grin. Such as refreshing picture~ :3

I was thinking that too, and trust me, I think drawing hands are much harder than drawing water
