Neat-o. I always love walkthroughs. Nice to see the process of others. And wow what a change from original picture to the first step! Awesome. I use masks for everything, ever since I learned how. Just have started using actions. Just simple ones for the most part. Like making a series of editable layers that I might commonly use.

I agree about masks XD Now that I know how they work, it's all I ever use! Erasing an actual image is soooooooooooo CS3!
Actions I use sporadically - but for something like a star field it's helpful XD Saves me that little bit of effort
Which outcome do you prefer btw, step 4 or 5? After making this, I realised that I quite like the high contrast in step 4 ._.'

no, i think it's great... i have such a hard time making tutorials... i have the ideas, and i try to start them but then i get discouraged and quit
