As I said before, my second favorite Sonic villain, and hands down the most threatening antagonist in the Sonic series. He manipulated Silver into thinking that Sonic was the Iblis Trigger, he tempted Shadow to succumb into darkness, outright KILLED Sonic and threw the universe into chaos after merging with Iblis. All of this just because he wanted to. I mean, Eggman wants to destroy Sonic and he surely put the planet on numerous world-ending threats before, but Mephiles is just on a whole different level.

In the end, Alfred from The Dark Knight was right: Some men, just want to watch the world burn.
