Description
Part of what should go on the reference sheet for the quirr, one of the species with most focus on in my headworld.

This is with medium strong light, in lower light conditions the pupil increases in size and becomes rounder. With stronger light, it shrinks into a thinner oval with shorter vertical axis length.
The eyes sport nictitating membranes and very thin, short eyelashes. There's no actual historic background for quirr with long eyelashes and thus it is agreed that they're a recent development. Since in some areas longer eyelashes are perceived as appealing, it is possible that the quirr will eventually develop longer eyelashes with the times.
While there are some slight variations in colour, the iris is always in these yellowish tones. Changes in iris colour are generally related to pathologies/genetic mutations and are thus an incredibly rare sight.
