Red and Yellow are both pretty ominous eye-colors to choose in your first shot. Red implies devilry and yellow is feral.

Subtle though. Glorious.

Sadly those color choices (except for the red) were entirely subconscious. A mix of what matched, what doesn't, and what hasn't been used yet.
