Lovely! Really like the tender gesture of the brushing hands while so much horror and chaos stands around them (and in Annie's case, gropes at her).

To me, it's whether Annie will take his hand while she still has the opportunity to do so, and whether Eren will reach to pull her out of the chaos should it swallow her whole. =]

Ah I see. Hmmm, I'd say Annie would not take his hand. I can't really explain it but it seemed to me that during the female titan arc there were many moments where she would have rather done things differently (not fight Eren in the forest of Giant Trees, flee in Sina instead of facing him), but her sense of duty is too strong. She was even willing to die for the mission.
On the other hand, I would absolutely see Eren grabbing for her, at his own risk, no matter what. He's impulsive and headstrong but he really has a good heart. In the anime (not sure if it's so in the manga), he dashes forward to help Annie when the survey corps men were attempting to immobilize her (Mikasa stops him), even though he was perfectly aware Annie was the Female Titan. It was instinctual. I guess when he likes/respects you he professes this loyalty in spite of himself?

Completely agree there, on everything. Whatever the connection that Eren shared with Annie, it's not something he can sweep under the bridge. I mean, later in the story he's still troubled by her betrayal and I believe he never came to fully accept it. Mikasa shows a form of concern/regret/shame (I can't place it quite right) for Annie's actions too, at least in the anime, and Annie's betrayal is one of those things that forever changed Armin.
This topic always bring to mind a question: why did Annie let Eren go in Sina. What's your opinion?
Here I refer to episode 25, after the titan battle, and right before Annie scales the wall.

I love that artwork. As the previous comment pointed out she's not taken his hand.
And I truly love Eren's expression. His eyes show a mix of feelings but I can't quite point them out... Maybe some sadness because he has the feeling she won't take his hand? But still he hopes she will take it?

Those arms belong to victims whose lives she's taken, dragging her into despair.
