I've just discovered SAI and I have to say I'm really impressed, it's great for getting really clean lineart, the transition from Photoshop to SAI is really smooth too, I picked it up in about 30mins of using it

I really like using SAI. It's very easy to work with.
I only wish it did filters and gradients like Gimp or Photoshop.

Save up for it. It's like $60 and is MUUUUUUUUUUUUCH cheaper than most other art programs which runs around $200. *coughphotoshop*

"Preserve Opacity" or something along those lines. Photoshop has it too.

uh... bitmap image is a bitmap filetype...
SAI is pretty much a baby version of Photoshop. :/ They're both very much alike.

SAI has a vector tool, if that's what you mean for "not liking bitmap programs".

Hm, I know a lot of people here in germany, who use sai. o_O is it that great and different compared to open canvas? ^^° the pictures always look so beautiful, but i guess it's just the artist's talent and not the programm.
