I'd never seen the merit of using textures in paintings - to me they'd always look plastered on. But painting over it like this to blend it in is brilliant, and I don't know why I didn't think of it before o.o Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

Yes exactly. Painting over gives better effects and it's helpful when you have problem with drawing parts of the picture by yourself.

No, you can make your own photo or like me, use texture site - for example ([link] )- they are free to download, you don't have to credit them
