Description
A personal interpretation of Leoric, the Skeleton King from Diablo 3. Really enjoyed doing it, even if it's not as good as I wanted, due to the tricount and texture limit ( I wanted to do a really lowpoly character with a small texture for once, I'm used to 10K+ tris characters ^^ ). Maybe some day I'll do a "next-gen" version with 20 000 tris and a 2048 texture.

I love this! Really nicely done )
Did you have many problems on the normal mapping side?

like, sort of chunky bits of solid colour here and there? Sorry if that's a noob statement; i'm currently doing my first normal map at the minute and it's like smashing my head into a wall. Your mesh is really simple, sparse and elegantly faithful to the sihouette - if i simplified my mesh anymore, i get the chunky bits of colour problems. No matter i shall keep bashing away!
Again though, really nice model and thanks for sharing it on here!
(please ignore the previous misplaced comment =S)

Oh yeah I remember when I started baking normals, it was a nightmare haha. Well it's a bit complicated to explain how it works, it would take hours, but you can have a look at this :

It's important to understand the theory. Maybe this can help you too :

Wow! Thanks so much! just learning to soften the normals on the body before applying has made the world of difference!!
And, again... love your stuff. How long have you been modelling, may i ask?

If you take school years into account it's been 5 years.
