Aaaah, Christmas stories. Gotta love them. They always manage to appeal to the kindness in our hearts, leaving us all warm and fuzzy inside while we learn a valuable lesson in the spirit of the holiday season.
Unless, of course, we're talking about Gift of the Magi.

Don't get me wrong, I like GotM as a Christmas story, and I feel like it teaches people a valuable lesson - it doesn't matter what you give to the people you love, as long as you give it to them with good intentions. However, to me it has one of the most frustatingly depressing endings ever for a short story, where both spouses lose what they cherished to give the other one a present that's rendered useless. I've had to deal with such a downer ending since I read the tale as a little kid, and I've felt sorry for the nonexistent couple ever since.

This time, Jessica and I are gonna fix things and make sure these two lovers get themselves the merriest of Christmas

This was a longass part, but the next one isn't nearly going to be as long as this one. I just stopped at this point because of cliffhanger value
Nevermind the sudden model change at panel 5, Kisekae crashed before I could save these guys
And I have no idea how the hell I was gonna pull off the portal thing without the new update
