"Need any help?" He looked up at her.

"I'm fine, Simon. You look like the one who needs help in this situation." She looked over his hunched position one more time. He seemed to be keeping up the pace just fine, but still.

"It's just a couple a' bricks and beams. Nothing I haven't carried before. I'm more worried about that barrel."

"It's alright. I've also carried plenty of these. I'm used to it."

"Still, that's an alarmingly large amount of alcohol."

Leona smiled. "It takes a lot to run a tavern. Lots of thirsty travelers or incredibly hungry errand boys." She gently giggled to herself and then looked down to her other side at Claire who was hauling a box of berries.

"What about you, Claire?" Simon picked up his pace to pass Leona's long legs and check up on the little demon. "You alright?"

"I'm good." She smiled. "But these berries smell really really good. How long 'til lunch, Miss Leona?"

"As soon as we get to the river we'll eat." She assured the girl. "Don't want my two loaders to go hungry."

Claire smiled and seemed to pick up her pace just a bit, scurrying along with the berries.

Simon shrugged, pulling the raw materials up onto his back. "Did you run this route by yourself?"

"Yep." Leona didn't break her stride. "Restock day used to be quite the production. Still is, kind of. But It's nice to have a few hands on deck. And we resupply pretty often so we never have to pick up too much. Just what we need."

Simon looked back with a bit of concern. "That's a lotta weight for a round trip."

"I have a strong back. You kind of have to up here."

"So I've gathered." He huffed, yanking the slipping palette back up once more. "How'd you get started at the Broken Barrel?"

"Same way you did. I was up north. I needed some coin."

"Hrm." Simon wasn't great at carrying conversation. He wasn't really much of leader in general. He lacked the spine. And the gut feeling. And most of the empathy. So he filled the space with 'hrms'. Grunts of affirmation. It was that signification that he did hear and process someone's information.

I don't even know. My mind's kind of a mess right now. No real content left to write at the moment. But I have a day off so I'm probably going to do something or other today. We'll see.

Also, Leona's new outfit. The thing about Leona is that she's designed to be very large, very curvy, and have very ample breasts. Like, the way I draw them is a little bit different from the way I draw, say, Lilith's. Less comfortably sitting tight in loose clothing and more barely contained. Still trying to see if I can get a comfortable design down. I'm not familiar with clothing from the Renaissance/Baroque/Neoclassical era that would fit her for now, so I guess she's just got a vest and belt.
