Merah is the eldest child of Kopa and Zuri. She is the polar opposite of her mother in that she is very much a tomboy who would rather roll around in the dirt or run a race, than go on a boring spa trip or take a bath. This puts her at a crossroads with her mother sometimes, although the two do love each other very much; on the other hand, she's wrapped around her dad's paw and has a very close bond with him. She grew up being one of the only friends to Tiifu and Afua's shy son Uriah, but she helped him to come out of his shell and the two eventually fell in love and became mates. She is also the Bravest in Chaka and Shani's Lion Guard.
