Description
Hope this is the right category....My first tutorial!
Shows how to make an indented thin line (as seen in my grey. color. strip. wallpapers).
Hope it all makes sense, and don't hesitate to ask questions, critique, and make suggestions.

Haha, yes I used to hate that as well... though I have grown to enjoy it, as it lets you input some of your own ideas into what you are making.
What part exactly did you want clarification on?

Great tut! I don't own photoshop, but I'm going to see if I can figure out how to do this in The Gimp .

lolz
youve got a spiffy computer
I get all techniques youre explaining, too. though I dont really like the idea of plain lines as deviation..
and what do you do to have more lines? duplify the layer and drag it a bit to the side and repeat progress?

well, it is not really how to make a deviantion... just how to add that effect to something else. If you want more, just add another line to the layer, or make a new layer, and do the same thing

aah, I see, I get it
(but about the 'more' it is unlikely you will be able to get the same curve again)

well yes, if you want the same exact curve, in a different spot, just duplicate the layer, and move it
