Description  The Type 4 `Genesis` is considered by many to be one of the most versatile and reliable ships available to the public. The vessel has proven to be nearly as popular as it`s smaller brother, the Type 1 Entrepreneur. The ship easily fills the roles of Mid-heavy combat ship, Large explorer, and Medium cargo transport.

Sharing a similar design and overall arrangement with it`s little sibling, the Genesis is just as interchangeable and upgradeable, albeit much better protected, more durable, and with higher capacity. For many pilots, this ship is their next and last ship they`ll ever own, acknowledged as a direct improvement to the Entrepreneur. Pilots will often earn enough to purchase the ship, and immediately replace their previous craft, never feeling the need to buy another ship.

The Type 4 carries a total of 5 hard-points, 6 external module mounts, and mid range sensory equipment. Two small size hard-points occupy the forward dorsal hull, two large hard-points positioned either side of the forward region, and a single underslung large hard-point just ahead of the forward landing gear housings. Four External module mounts surround the bridge, while two more reside under the center of the ship. As stock, the craft carries a class 6 chemical reactor, providing plenty of power for various functions. It also carries a standard Dak-drive for superluminal travel, which permits a high range despite large amounts of cargo. The ship has sufficient life support for a maximum of 30 occupants with stock equipment. The craft carries some of the most resilient armor for a civilian starship, allowing it to endure high-velocity railgun volleys without suffering crippling damage. Like all human starships, the Type 4 has 30 cm thick Radiation-proof glass, and the hull passively generates a magnetic field to repel most known radiation. It is pushed by 4 thrusters, producing a total of 30 Gs, giving the ship remarkable acceleration for it`s mass. The ship is equipped with 8 high-power maneuvering thrusters, positioned to provide maximum leverage over the vessel`s mass, providing almost starfighter-like maneuverability.

What makes you say that?

Maybe it just has that thick and boxy, beefy feel. Like Tanky! Well you did a good job representing the scale by making the details so tiny.

I guess you`re right, it does feel a bit beefy. And Lore-wise, it certainly is a brick compared to other craft, even in stock form. One might even say it`s the civilian equivalent of a battleship.

I didn't think about that... If I didn't bring a sword would you let me borrow one for dueling?

I thought you had a hoverboard that doubled as a quarter staff. Oh well, in the event that you don't have anything to use against my stun baton, I'll simply drop my weapon and put up fists.

I'd say we'd settle this over some hot coffee, charge me air fare, pat me down, make sure I'm not stealing any information.. etc.

The-Combine-Engineer In reply to Shiftagen [2017-09-29 03:15:59 +0000 UTC]

Why hot coffee? How `bout a real drink, Hot Chocolate. Anyhow, what information would need to be stolen? I wouldn't carry tactical information, unless it was in an unreadable, encrypted format located on an outdated disk drive hidden in my personal quarters where only I would think to look.

Now then, welcome aboard, I don`t usually carry more than my own crew. Find a spot and strap yourself in, wouldn't want you injured.

Hot chocolate sounds even better! Well, I'm not here to cause trouble. And you obviously have thought of all the loopholes.

I can't believe I left my cyclone at home. Thank you for taking me aboard your ship. Can I strap in by that pole on the science station over there?

Well, one must take precautions!

My pleasure! I do get rather lonely when traveling amongst the stars. I`ve only brought a few friends aboard, and they didn't seem particularly conversational, as if they didn't really care. And what science station? You must be looking at the sensor readout console. But sure, strap right in and hang on, physics can hurt.

Well alright. Engaging thrusters, initiating deflector shield generation, checking navigation, and warming up additional modules. Disengaging landing gear, and clearing staton perimeter. Now then, off to mine some crystals. Engaging FTL drives.

*Light distorts as ship jumps to light-speed* Now then, I feel like I should provide a little bit of guidence for moving around inside the ship. After all, there is no measureable gravity in space, and technologically producing producing gravity is impossible with the technology available to me. But I think you'll do just fine in zero-G.

Yeah, good thing you didn't, it's hard enough cleaning up stuff like that, but it's much harder when the bile is floating around and bouncing in all directions. Why don't you unbuckle and find out.

*You ever so gently bump your head on the ceiling, then notice that I have gotten out of the pilot seat, but remain in contact with the floor.* "I see you enjoy the weightless environment. Every other non-military person I've ever brought on board was rigidly attached to their seat and demanded that I help them move around."

*Something chimes, I turn and check one of the big displays.* "We should probably get back in place, we're on approach." *Continues inspecting monitors.* "Hmm, that's a little comcerning. According to the satelites I left at the destination, there are a few pirate ships in the system."

Shiftagen In reply to The-Combine-Engineer [2017-12-22 04:37:22 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'm used to the weightless effect. I ain't a hover board racer for nothing. I just don't have any thusters to control myself. and everything else around me floats... *does a back flip and uses my legs for thrust to float back to the back of the bridge.*

Rrrright! What? Pirates?!

The-Combine-Engineer In reply to Shiftagen [2017-12-23 06:31:43 +0000 UTC]

I can tell. Hmm, how might you experience non-gravity environments while board racing? *Barely audible*

Hold on, I tend to assume the worst. There is a chance that it might be an anomaly. However, I have encountered pirates in this system before. And things tend to get real dicey when pirates are in the area. *Buckles seat restraints, and assumes combat ready posture* Alright, dropping light-speed... now!

Oh dear! Um, uh, that should probably be checked right away, I think there's some medical materials somewhere onboard. I'll be right back.
*Hurriedly stomps to the back, and disappears through the hatch into the main interior, leaving you alone on the bridge.*

*Right above the ring, on the far side, you see a bright flash, and then something glint in the distance. Seconds later, the radar starts chirping, only displaying a dot, on the far side.

*Pauses, with you jacket still open.* The radar? Usually anything on the radar indicates the presence of something.
*Moves over to pilot seat and checks radar, scanning for more details.* Hey, you said you possibly encountered a troop of Vaegors right? Because that's a Vaegor D-49 Growler class attack transport, headed straight for us. Maybe they did put a tracker in you.

*Grits his teeth together as he endures the pain* Yeah, that's right... I didn't know they'd be this hostile. 'I think to myself that I wish I could be more useful. "Well of course you didn't know, it's not every day you get abducted by warmongering aliens. From what I've heard, Vaegor-made ships don't have the best sensors, so maybe they haven't notic-" *A plasma torpedo detonates a few kilometers away, the shockwave kicking the ship.* "Nevermind, they can see us. Here, try holding this cold-bag on where it hurts, that should keep the pain low. Things are about to get wild."
*I put the medical kit in the nearest container, and take over the flight-controls, turning the ship towards the planetary ring, firing the main engines.*
"We might escape the Growler in the ring."

'I hope to myself that the tracker signal will be scrambled once we get into the ring'  *he smiles as the ice seems to help a little* is there anything I can do?

The-Combine-Engineer In reply to Shiftagen [2018-01-17 07:07:03 +0000 UTC]

*Unfortunately, the Growler had been upgraded, and it was tracking far better than it would have originally.* "Excuse me for being a bit pessimistic, but considering they spotted us much earlier than I was expecting, the ring might not be any better."
*Another plasma torpedo detonates nearby, shattering several rocks, then a volley of rail-gun fire, deflecting off of the shields as the attack transport flies past, turning to follow.* "Yes actually. Could you monitor the radar at your console for me, I need to focus on piloting the ship. Hopefully I left some chaff and flare modules on, you might be able to distract any tracking weapons they might have."

*He jumps at the blast and his eyes widen as the pieces of rock burn against our shields*
'Well I don't feel as much pain thanks to this ice and danger
"I'll keep an eye on the Radar." *he looks around and sees the lit flare button and presses it, a few flares light off behind us and one of them crashes into a small rock in the planet's rings*
"Let me know what to do next commander."

"Oh, so I did leave a flare module on. Good on my part. Well keep watching and launch countermeasures if they fire any more torpedoes. Now let's see if I left a weapon on." *The hardpoint hatches open, and most of the original armament is still in place.*
"Well, things might improve, we've got my plasma-accelerators and chain-guns. Hopefully they still work." *I dodge another rock, bringing the ship about, ready to fire on the hostile Growler ship.*

"Alright. Bringing our weapons to bear on the aggressors."
*I flip the ship around, firing the engines. The Growler is right behind, it fires it's rail cannons. The ferrous slugs deflect off of the shields. I pull the trigger, and flashes of light erupt from the guns, quickly disabling the shields of the hostile ship and beginning to damage the hull.*
"Great scott! These things still work. Now let's hope they have not upgraded their external armor." *Our ship lurches as the shields scrape the underside of the Growler.*

Hey, maybe we do have the situation under control." *I flip the ship again, and fire into the rear engines of the growler, disabling it.* "Think we should try to take anything they might be carrying? If they captured you, they might be carrying other innocents. Better think fast, at that rate, their ship will be blasted to oblivon in the ring."

*I swiftly jump from the pilot seat and set you back into the chair.* "Okay, maybe you should stay here, that injury from the deceleration is more sever than I originally expected. And I wouldn't want to place you in the way of danger. I'll jump in the shuttle-fighter and attempt to board after I run a detailed scan on the growler."
*Before I can initialize the scan, the growler erupts into light as the ship self-destructs, blasting a few containers out. The hulk of the growler smashes into a nearby rock.
"Apparently not. Nobody could survive that. But it seems to have lost a few boxes. You did mention owning some sort of hoverboard and using it by the time you were abducted, right?"

"Well, How am I supposed to know what it looks like or is composed of? I don't know. Only practical thing to do now is simply open the cargo hatch and attempt to capture everything they dropped. Oh, maybe I've got something else for you..."
*I rifle through a container on the opposite side of the bridge, eventually pulling out a syringe.*
"Hold still, this will numb the pain. I'll eventually get to fixing you up proper. Until then, stay in the chair and.... try to relax I suppose."
*Carefully, I administer some pain-duller. And procede to gather the containers. After which, I direct the ship away from the ring, and engage interplanetary supercruise, headed for the nearest terrestrial planet, prepared to land, then fully address your injuries, and possibly deploy a rover for the purpose of mining materials.*

"Oh, I taught myself. Self-Surgery you could call it. I kept injuring myself on missions like this, where I was the only one on board, and simple bandages failed to keep everything tidy until I returned home. Much like how the growler crashed into the asteroids, my ship would collide with something and fling me into whatever was nearby at bone-breaking velocities. That's why I developed such skills. And experimented with some formulation to create a sufficiently powerful number that could also provide limited healing assitance, which is just what I gave you. "
*I steer the ship towards a terrestrial planet, entering orbit and dropping supercruise, landing on the low-g planet's surface a few hours later.*
"Well, now that we have landed, I can fully address your injury. I'll go find the other kit, and perhaps search the cargo-hold for your hoverboard."
