Bio:
Itching for another fight, Goku goes to visit the Zenō pair in order to ask about the tournament between all the Universes that the present Zenō promised he would hold. Both gods are excited to set things in motion and summon all the Angels, Hakaishin and Kaioshin to make the announcement. To show the future Zenō what a tournament is, the twelve Hakaishin participate in a Zen Exhibition Match. However, their battle is too brutal and difficult to follow. To set a better example of a battle between humans, Goku faces off against Universe 11's Hakaishin candidate: Toppo. After witnessing their battle, the Zeno agree to hold a 48 minute battle royal they dub the Tournament of Power. Unfortunately, the tournament is reveals to have a dual purpose. The two Zenō have grown tired of having to watch over so many Universes and have decided to wipe some of them out. The eight with the lowest Human Level will fight, and the last remaining Universe will be spared from destruction...though the winner will be granted a wish upon the Super Dragon Balls.
Pushing for the survival of Universe 11 in the Tournament of Power, Vermoud and Kai request Toppo select fighters from his squad of Pride Troopers for their power, teamwork and strong sense of justice. They are particularly adamant that he recruit Geran the Grey; a warrior with the power surpassing that of a Hakaishin. While initially reluctant to participate in a tournament that will result in other innocent lives being erased, Geran finally agrees once made aware about the reward of the wish granting Super Dragon Balls. The group spends what little precious time they have preparing at one of their training bases on the Planet Netfiss before arriving in the Void Realm for the Tournament of Power.
Notes:
Basically all Super based sheets are sparse on details due to new content being created without the creators fully fleshing it out. But here's a rundown on some visual changes and general character notes:
- Zoirē was given wings by Toyotaro in the manga after his first appearance, so I added them here too.
- Dyspo got some slight color changes as a means to help separate him a bit more from Beerus.
- Geran appeared to get even more buff once his shirt was ripped towards the end of the arc, but it's not really a new form so I'm not making a spot for it.
- Toppo's Hakaishin form, as intimidating as it was in the show, is stupid. You don't see any of the other Hakaishin getting buff, turning dark and having glowing symbols on their chest. If I decide to use it, he'll just look like his normal self, but with an aura and power change.
The series of submissions labeled under the title of DB Redux are part of fan rewrite of the official series. Anything that you see in the art or description that varies from the original manga or anime sources is most likely intentional. While I appreciate that you are taking the time to look at my gallery and notice these differences, I do not require a comment on what needs correcting because it wasn't "originally like that". Idk which version of dragon ball super you're watching (maybe its the knock off latin versions or korean versions) but jiren has always been depicted looking down to goku, at least a good 4-6 inches taller

I know Japanese to English/romanization in general is a bit flexible, but I gotta say, I'm not feeling this one :/
But I agree with you about Toppo's Hakaishin form suddenly turning him from obese Lorax into Jinpachi Mishima. I guess it looked cool, but Champa's existence alone is enough to show becoming one doesn't magically make you ultra buff

I mean, it's of course entirely within your right how you want to spell the character's names. After all, we don't call him Bejita. I just find trying to rearrange the English spelling of the word to result in something that looks and sounds awkward since the "ge" part is pronounced differently than the "ji" character

Toppo is compromise, as to reflect the original pun you either need to use Top or something like T'po. The first is an unrelated word on it's own that would project a different pun than what was intended, and the other is liberal and nonsensical.
The g in range and Geran should have a soft j-like pronunciation, such as in general. The vowel sounds are fairly close and mostly informed by the surrounding consonants anyway.

i think the toppo hakaishin "form" was simply exaggerated by the symbols on his chest, otherwise i think it makes sense given that 90% of DBZ characters power up to max by getting bulkier, it would make sense for him, at full power, to gain the muscle mass boost and essentially lose the fat due to the power up. the aura and intimidating look is taken directly from what beerus did in the past. i think if anything you should at least give him the musclemass boost since he's fighting at full power, essentially keep the form just take off the glowing symbols or make them tattoo'd on his chest anyway, just not visible cause of his clothes

Assuming Toyotaro doesn't do the buff thing for Toppo, I'm fine with the choice I already made. I far prefer Toriyama's approach to things than I do everyone else in the franchise's need to make everyone bulky. That's not a franchise staple I'm fond of. Never have been.

I've been feeling like it's been getting harder to classify modern DB characters into such a limited system. It isn't much, but the new characters are starting to get a little more depth. Kinda. With a character like Beerus for example...he's generally lawful of the rules he must abide by, but is also pure chaos in destroying whatever he wants. Even though he's expected to stay neutral and not interfere in the affairs of mortals, he can be bribed to do good and all that. It's just becoming a hassle to try and sit down and sort out on top of everything else.
(If someone else wants to do it, I'm open to it though. lol)
Also removed the Battle Powers bit. Feels useless when I have full charts for them that list more than the first BP they had when they appeared for the given sheet. (And this way if I change a BP, I don't have to go and edit every sheet either.)

Drop the attitude. I never said I went with his most commonly depicted height. I went with the height I wanted from select screenshots, as previously stated. That's why there's a disclaimer on every submission about how this isn't the official franchise and I can (and do) make changes.
