I noticed this wonderful little moth in the lawn of our backyard.This one was pretty easy to ID
It's a Chickweed Geometer - Hodges#7146 (Haematopis grataria)

Great picture and a very beautiful moth. The ones I have seen are usually grey/brow/white.

and it was the pink is that really caught my eye.

I'm just trying to see this clearly, Jim. Are those magenta bands towards to lower side of the wings?

I would have loved to get clearer shots, but these are particularly skittish.
LOL! I slowly crept up it more than once & just as I got it in focus, it would flutter a few feet further away.
Yes, they have a pair of magenta-pink spots and stripes.
