The A.R.G.Onauts disbanded. Then they reformed. Then disbanded again. Now they are back with Glenn Bing at their head. After years of working his way through the corporate world, he’s now lost it all after stocks crashed. It was around this time that Mary Read walked back through his door. The love of his life and former ex-wife, the last time Glenn saw Mary she was a walking mass of vegetation. Except she wasn’t. It wasn’t Mary. When Glenn had formed the A.R.G.Onauts term that included Pongo and President Abraham Von Frankenstein, they had been joined by a being calling itself Mary Read. They knew it as the Gaia of old. Now stood in Glenn’s empty office, Mary explained that was a sentient being of pure vegetation. Her powers of plant life meant she could enhance floral growth with the power of her mind. Apparently, after losing her brother Nathaniel, her grief had passed a scrap of sentience onto a fungal spore. The spore had grown into a walking mass that thought itself a woman. Now however, Mary is back. And she is ready to fight the good fight. Tommy Bing’s music career fell apart. So when his brother came knocking, asking if Tommy would rejoin the A.R.G.Onauts, Tommy leapt at the chance to be relevant again. Now operating as a branch of the Global Union, the team are joined by GUARD agent Greg Yu. After a mission gone awry left him the ability to control and convert his body into living water, Greg Yu now operates as the new Tsunami. At least, that’s his story. Strangely, he bears a strikingly similar appearance to the alternate universe’s Argonaut’s Professor Prodigious. Regardless, he is now a member of the new A.R.G.Onauts.
