Description
This piece was a major challenge. First off, I'm still fairly new to illustrating sequential art, so I actually had to ditch a couple of frames in order to accommodate the narration. The script and line art were mostly done back in October 2009, and since then, there were a few 'Evil Dead' related projects that had shown up. I finally decided I had put too much work into it to NOT finish it.Related content

You pulled off some neat tricks with this one. I've always struggled witht he notion of conveying expressions on the characters with faceplates.

I think this is really the first one where I was trying to convey more of my art style whereas the first two were based on the G1 animation models. As far as expressions, I was inspired by the Marvel UK artists, who were masters at bringing them to the TF characters. Also, because this one was a darker piece than most, I couldn't help but use harder lines. Just seemed to fit the mood. lol

Got a few story lines in mind. A couple of in-betweeners/aftermath stories for the G1 movie, and a fun bit that ties into G1 Season 3. Other than that, I'm up for working with some other talent. It would be fun to collaborate. Also got some non-TF original projects that I've had sitting in the back in my head for a long time.

I think we nbeed more alternative continuity stories, personally - not to belittle your sterling efforts. Animated seems to have gone away, the Bay movies don't get much love, and Energon and Armada are almost unheard of in the Mosaics. Real shame, that.

Energon, Armada, Robots in Disguise... I guess my issue with those shows is that the translation was rushed and so poorly done. I'm amazed that in a post-Robotech market, that these companies still get away with that. Had a really hard time getting into those.

Yeah - I know what you mean. Still, it's not like the TV is the be-all and end-all of those shows. Armada and Energon were really well represented in comics, I feel.
I have an Armada Mosaic in the works. It keeps getting shunted around in my schedule, but it's taking shape.
And I'd LOVE to see a Mighty Muggs Mosaic!
