Took me a month and a half, but here it is! Part 2 of The Gun and the Sword, which delves into the story behind the weapons that delivered the fatal blows to our hero Optimus.Enjoy!

A few things:
- I know Kup looks shiny, almost too shiny. I guess it's more to show contrast with Skyfall, whose chassis is more dull.
- Speaking of Skyfall, I know almost nothing about him from the comics or otherwise, and for the Skyfall fans out there, I apologize for painting him in this morbid light. I read his techspec file, which mostly talks about how he loves flying, but it was hard to work that into the story. I mostly chose him because he was the only Autobot I could find with a function related to weapons engineering...
- I originally spelled it "Teletran-1", but according to Wiki, it's supposed to be "Teletraan I" (roman numeral 1). I tried the roman numeral, but it looked weird in the sentence, so I made it "Teletraan 1" on purpose.
Ok, off I go to doing part 3.

XDD I don't know how inclined I'd be to actually FOLLOW steak on a rope, especially if it was just lying out in the middle of the street, but, under the right circumstances...

a weird thing about gunmakers/gunbuilders/gun-designers, etc., that I noticed, is that they don't take things to heart... I mean, the results of what happen as a result of the tools they make, they don't seem to care, they just keep making them...
the artwork shows up pretty pixelated here (jagged lines that are not smooth)... can you upload a better cleaner version?

True, there is a responsibility there when you make a weapon...or anything. I'm realizing that more and more now. We can never disconnect from that responsibility.
Thanks for noticing the bad quality of the jpg! I had switched to "nearest neighbor" downsampling (avoids anti-aliasing, which is what I wanted partway through). But I forgot to switch back to "bicubic" when I made the deviation pic! I fixed it and uploaded the bicubic downsampling version.

As stated in the description, I don't know Skyfall very well...maybe I should've read up more about him. It's just that I'm such a techspec fan that sometimes I treat them in such high regard. He's a weapons engineer! The ONLY Autobot that makes weapons...he fit my story perfectly just for that reason alone.
Well I hope you still have it in mind to read the rest of the story!

I like the the shock-background when Skids is surprised. You could have just drawn him surprised, but you went a step further. Nice.
I knew the plot was serious from the start, but this is really diving deeper then even I would have imagined, and I've seen a lot of fanworks.

I just got to thinking...and it would be just like Hot Rod to get a crazy idea to make a gun more powerful than any out there. Under the guidance of Kup, he's more controlled. But if he were to go behind Kup and those in charge, I think he's a loose cannon.
Which is what makes him likable so it's sortuva catch 22.
