At long last, it is finished. 30 panels in total, one helluva ride for Sideswipe! I started this roughly September 2007 and now it's April 2008.
Thanks go out to all the favers and commenters who motivated me through the entire process. I will be having a special competition to honor you guys/gals. Stay tuned to my journal for more information!

These are unbelievable. Easily one of (if not the) best drawings of trans I've seen. The mid-transformations are very, very well done.

Wow, with all the great TF stuff on dA, it's really an honor to hear that you put mine among the best. The mid-transformations were extremely fun, especially when I got to modify the actual transformations (like they did in the cartoon a lot, which I loved). Thanks again for all the comments!

I've been meaning to post on this for ages. Man, the whole thing is so awesome, but that Ultra Magnus panel is just amazing. I LOVE the light steaming over his shoulders, and the angle, and...the first time I saw that panel, I was just like, wow.
I love the looks on Sunstreaker's face, too. The look of horror at Sideswipe falling gives him so much depth as a character. I really, really like this panel. Sorry it took me so long to comment.

Thanks, glad you like the Magnus panel! That one was fun and if you look at the rough sketches that led to it, you'll see I barely changed it from the sketch!
I never thought about Sunstreaker's expression as Sideswipe is falling, I guess I'm just lucky it ended up that way. Again I think that just came out in the rough sketch. Ah, I just looked at the rough sketch. His eyes were bigger in the sketch! Which I think would've been better, hehe.

And yes it took patience...it was kinda stressful too, making deadlines for myself and making sure to stick with them. I realize now that any work of art, whether they be movies, comics, novels...the creators really kill themselves each time they make one work of art. Then they kill themselves over and over each time they do a new one! hehe Scary but it's a fact of life for creators...

Yeah, the hardest to draw, the artists of the comic and cartoon are lazy about. Sometimes it is hard to get worked out in my mind how the pit they can transform because of lack of real rate/scale, they don't seem to bother with it. Toys are better that way, they HAVE to transform but it costs losing their cartoon-look... Your job just excellent.

You seem to have a clear view of the situation with transformers vs. size/scale vs. toy. Yes it's a tough balance....drawing it, we can cheat a little bit, hehe. I remember watching TF the Movie and it was cool to see Hot Rod transform several different ways!!

I had to wait until now to reply because of my travel and later I was busy with drawings. I think there is something magical about drawing because I didn't know how to but now I just did and I'm quite satisfied. Talking about cheating I just did it - I pretended to draw and posted. It took my nerves.

Details are, as any of the TF fanfics, amazing again! So outstanding! The light effects and shadings are also no words for it, and just.. it's so amazing and detailed. I have no more words for it.

Thanks for the dialogue! I had intended to make Magnus more of a prick, but I like how you have him being nice here, it's better that way. I haven't forgotten about putting all your words into the fanfic! I will do it once I finish my Wizard of Oz characters.

and poor Magnus XD he can be a prick, but I figured, hey, if the twins just took down 2 jets by themselves and then saved each other in the process, he can only be happy that they're ok...if a little disgruntled that Prime's statue went Kaboom in the process...
now that I look back on all 4 parts of dialogue I did, it's funny how it kinda progressed XD it went from relatively ridiculous to sorta realistic XD but at least it makes sense...

That's a good point about Magnus! You got into his head more than I did, which is what writers need to do.
