Description
Something I finished a long time ago, but forgot to post. This is just my drawing process for Irkens. There are plenty of other processes, and I'm not saying this is the only one. I also tried to cover all the bases here, or at least most of them. There are some things that most of you will go "well DUH!" on, but I just wanted to give as much information as I can for people that need it.Also, my example drawing is bad. It could be much better, but I was lazy in the drawing department. It still serves its purpose though.
So ignore this, or follow it religiously. I don't care. It's just here for you if you feel you need it.

Now I shall try my hand at depicting Pil, so you can see what I was envisioning.
As SOON as I get home and take a nap, of course. XD

Thanks to you Pil is going quite well- when I post him you can expect your name in the credits for taking the time to teach me. Out of curiosity I looked around for other Irken tutorials, and this is by far the best of them.
The nap was great. Could use another though

Me too. XD Usually, I am the one teaching my friends things and learning nothing, and here you have already taught me a considerable sum.
A genuine thanks is certainly in order.
Nah. I have too much schoolwork, and too many friends
that I want to converse with to really bother with it if I wanted to.
I still haven't gotten to speak personally with several. O_O

Crappy irken head >.> Never comes out right T-T
On another note, This was an awesome tutorial but just to mention Irkens have three fingers only the almighty tallest ones have two.

The-Snowlion In reply to woodenpen [2009-09-27 22:36:17 +0000 UTC]
It's tough. Takes some practice.
Yup. But I think I want to believe the Tallest have thumbs too; they're just hidden inside their gauntlet thingies. But who knows?

I see. . . I'm already pretty well versed in what's known and assumed about the IZ universe. I draw all my Irkens with three fingers. . .

I've been thinking of making a tutorial for my animal caricatures. This has given me a better look on how to do that, along with an AWESOME look on irken drawing! Thanks a shit-ton, mate!

Are you my unofficial twin sibling? Your drawing style is almost identical. The only real difference is that I don't bother with the guide lines on the face or in making the head. But it's true, drawing the head in some angles is hard, I'll try using those lines.
