Description
The Southwest Chief was about 4 hours late coming into Riverside last week, which gave me the opportunity to shoot it during daylight. I hope you enjoy! The train was shot at the crossing of the Santa Ana River, adjacent to La Cadena Drive in Colton.

thats okay the other day with snow and ice buildup on the rails and switching the cascades train from vancouver canada to seattle wa came through bellingham at 1:30 in the after noon... it should be here at 8:35...
i seriously believe amtrak lies about its on time performance because the cascade run shows like 83% on time last time i checked and it is never on time here...

It just depends on the route. The Chief is almost always on time here, I'm only ever able to shoot it if it is late because it's supposed to run through when the sun is down.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, but Amtrak trains travel through 46 of the 48 continental United States.
