Fluttershy's latent elemental power awakens, and with it, Spring. Pack it in, ponies. Looks like Winter Wrap-up is already taken care of.My favorite season by far. Winter just feels like sleepwalking by comparison.
Watercolor on 9x12 140 lb. Strathmore watercolor paper. Finished: 2/25/16.Β

This picture leaves me in as much wide-eyed amazement as all of the animals themselves. Fluttershy is stunningly radiant as she calls upon the forces of nature to wake the land from its slumber, and she's so beautiful while doing it too. That face, especially with the light shining in her eyes, is awesome. Gorgeous work on her and all of the animal friends. The little one leaning up against her wing is super adorable too. Awesome work on the background as well, and the lighting from the sunshine and the magical flow create a brightness that goes right into my core. Thanks for sharing.

For some strange reason, I'm getting Fullmetal Alchemist vibes form this. Maybe it's the electric blue light and Fluttershy making something come forth from it.

I think the show just grew more stale after the second season ended.
The fanbase also went from this tongue in cheek untrollable internet fandom, into a cesspool of R34 and people taking things way too seriously for their own good.
I don't hate on the fans of the show or anything, but I kinda just stopped caring, and moved on to different stuff.

I can understand that. I've only ever been on the fringes of the fandom myself. What you see of me here on deviantArt is the extent of my participation.
The show has had a few good episodes in recent seasons, some even great, but I think the creators did better when they weren't concerned with the opinions of Bronys.
