Description We return once more to the home of the aubry and the fascinating ecosystem in which they inhabit! While a number of the large interior pockets of the aubrys' homeplanet are undeniably artificially made (whether by the aubry or some as of yet unidentified species), the vast amount of these caverns and passages are undeniably the result of the indigenous andilids. Annelid in appearance and in organization of its body, this species is more similar to a communal fungi in biology, composes of many individual segments which can be shed in the event of damage or injury, and which operate in unison to allow the structure locomotion. Interestingly, while consumption of stone is performed across the length of its body on the same specialized fibrous stalks which it uses to move, the mass-release of the digestion enzymes is only triggered when stone is in front of the andilid. At speed, the andilid can reach 18 miles an hour, yet somehow, without the presence of eyes or conventional sensing organs, the andilid can and will render lingering digestive enzymes on its body inert withing fractions of a second when coming into direct contact with other organisms. Only intentionally reaching into the spiral burrows of an andilid and attempting to handle it while in the process of eating will result in a "bite", which results in the creature quickly dissipating the enzyme and rendering it unable to burrow. Whether this is a conscious action or involuntary is unknown, as is the reason as to why the ecosystem lacks any form of predators to this species.

Breeding of the andilids is an incredibly slow process, which appear to be the only reason as to why their population is kept in check, with the exact specifics of which being equally unknown. Each andilid is formed from reed-like sprouts of fungi which gradually conjoin over time before producing the annelid structure which then detaches from the ground and rotates away. Upon the "death" of the organism, the body structure breaks down and spreads in a way similar to moss or fungi, producing many times its own body mass in growths which eventually solidify into stone which is then consumed by other andilids ad infinitum. There appears to be no specific plant or fungi in the aubry ecosystem solely responsible for their creation either, as any plant outside of the aubry themselves seemingly has the capability to begin producing andilid stalks which will eventually lead to the creation of a full worm. Theories as to their use and relationship with the vegetation on the aubry homeworld are similar to the bees of Earth, facilitating pollination of any species of plant they encounter (with no selective bias to any plant which spawns them), and theorize that some reaction between the soil itself and the vegetation of the aubry homeworld causes their creation to replenish soil nutrients. Another theory is that they were possibly engineered and their means of creation, or the exact engineered sequence of DNA implanted within their environment has been yet undiscovered.
