Well, after the concept art and three big Livestream sessions, it is done, Chaos and Evil, a high effort piece featuring humanized Chrysalis and Discord.I went all out on the shading in a similar way to Can Can Pinkie. The background is kind of abstract-ish, but fun to do nonetheless. For the character, I had a lot of fun rendering the Victorian inspired outfits, especially for Chrysalis. In all, just a big excuse to draw these two for no particular reason, and definitely my two favorite villains from the show (notice the distinct lack of Sombra).
Expect there to be a time lapse later on.

I love this depiction. I can see such a story behind it, as if it's its own little universe...
Chrysalis is the despotic owner of a sweatshop, her changelings as the orphaned workers who endlessly toil for her.
Discord is a small-time crime-lord who runs a small gang of petty thieves.
And Sombra, though not depicted, is a corrupt coal baron who holds the city in the palm of his hand.

Digging the back story of Chrysalis. I like to toy with the idea of Chrysalis and her changelings as being this very destructive and and exploitative bunch, and her kingdom being essentially a Victorian-esque shit hole that constantly needs resources to keep going while not improving the standard of living at all. While her kingdom stubbornly clings to old ways, Equestria continues to prosper as it embraces new ideas.
As for Sombra, that idea sounds cool. But the character, Sombra himself, is just so inherently underdeveloped and boring. Really, he still feels like nothing but a place holder.

That's actually a lot like how I imagine Chrysalis's kingdom to be, sort of like something that used to be beautiful but eventually decayed into ruins due to neglect.
And while I must say Sombra should have had more lines, I actually give him credit for arguably being the most competent villain so far. I always think he has a personality similar to Makuta of Bionicle Lore, being a master schemer who sees everyone as pawns and always plans several moves ahead.

Especially the holes in the clothing and umbrella, to replicate the holes in her body when she's a pony.

I may hate Chrysalis(Sombra is better) but that dress is just perfect for her. i wish she was a bit uglier but for the most part that design is the best human design ever. and as for Discord while not the best is the most orignal.

I'm in love with Chrysalis over there, but I think the perspective on Discord's hand is looking a bit wonky. Other than that, the shading is awesomely detailed.
