One thing I noticed in the past season is that we never really got to see the Cutie Mark Crusaders use the abilities of their type of pony; we don't really see Scootaloo fly, we don't see Sweetie Belle do magic, and Applebloom... still not sure what's special about an earth pony other than some vague notion that they have some innate magical bond with the earth? I dunno.I was looking for an excuse to draw a dangerously adorable humanized Sweetie Belle. She has grown to become my favorite Cutie Mark Crusader so that became pretty much obligatory. Then it dawned to me; why would Rarity try and teach her sister some magic if she can ask the most gifted magician is Ponyville to show her the ropes. Also, it makes for dorky-Twilight, which is always the preferred mode of Twilight.
So here's Sweetie Belle starting out with some basic telekinesis.
I'm also planning to do one with Scootaloo and Applebloom.

I can see this happening on the show, at least I hope it does, especially now that we've seen Sweetie's horn glowing in season 4 ep 1.

If Sweetie Belle put even half the energy into learning magic that she puts into crusading I think she'd do very well indeed.
On a related note I believe that her cutie mark will be a hazard symbol with a heart in the middle - for I believe that she is the key to weaponising cuteness and when that happens none of us will be safe!

She'd probably take after her sister; not great at magic overall but really good at a set of specialized spells. Also, generic things like telekinesis.

I love all 3 of this series, but I think you should do away with Twilight's glasses. She dosn't have them in the show, so they look a bit wrong here.

Interesting scene! I like how you went for the hornless variety of humanfied pony in this scene. Makes sense for Twilight to be helping Sweetie Belle in this, the cute dorky expression on her face is gold.
Nice background with the image, as well as it being gently out of focus. It's there, but not overly so.

Actually, in an article I read from some of the story board artists, they said that Scootaloo is too young to fly properly and Sweetie Belle can only do instinctual (like for survival) types of magic, because she's too young to be trained yet. Basically, they'll learn when they get older.

The way I saw it, I believe Pound Cake will be the Rainbow Dash of the next generation in terms of flying prowess, and Pumpkin Cake will be her generation's Twilight Sparkle, if not a Star Swirl the Bearded, in terms of raw magical power.

Yeah, though you're right, I wish there was more of an explanation about it. Also, going off the Mane Six's stories, Twilight and Rarity had a fair amount of control over their magic, and dash and fluttershy could fly, so sense the CMC aren't in control of their magic or flying abilities, I would assume that means they're too young to get their cutie marks. Also, that one skinny colt in the gossip episode could fly, so...

I really like this concept, and the artwork is fairly sharp
I particularly like Twilight's design (Other then the nose, which I didn't notice till others pointed it out, thanks alot, guys -_- )
I especially like seeing any positive interaction between Twilight and the CMC after the events of "Lesson Zero"

Maybe earth-ponies are naturally stronger than the other types, AppleJack can knock all the apples of a tree(on a good day), and at the gala Pinkie lifted a pony with just her head.

That's very likely, and their power has been shown on several occasions. It's just that the kind of strength these ponies have poorly translate to humans without it looking ridiculous. I figured that the strength in humans is not their physical strength, as even the strongest humans aren't able to lift the kinds of weight that machinery can. Therefore, making earth ponies to be the engineers of society makes more sense to me, and makes for more interesting imagery.
