Wait, what? Can it be? Is Artrix actually submitting... something Naruto?Okay, this is going to require a quick explanation. This is old. 2006 old. I just never uploaded it.
When I did a quick warm up sketch of various Naruto characters, I suddenly remembered I did a little something for a collaboration organized by ~garadrobe for a massive third installment of Let's all go to deviantART . Unfortunately, the collaboration never came to fruition.
Everything should make sense now.

Well, since he looks like a clone of his father, both in looks and in attitude, he is likely to have a similar taste in women, a preference of troublesome types like his mother.

I never really got how shipping ANYONE with Shikimaru ever got to be so popular. Given how much like his father he is, and given how pissed off his mother seems to be, I can't help but think the men in that family are rather...unenthusiastic in a few respects.

Wow, this is such an amazing exemplification of Shikamaru's personality. Personally, I love the very slight hint of "shipping" between him and his two favorite "ship-mates" if you will.
The style is so very typically yours, and it brings me back to the first "Theartrix" piece I ever saw which was "Artrix's take on Naruto." This was what first drew me into your artwork and your style, and I love this piece just as much.
So, um, yeah....
