Part 48 of my Web Comic, MLP Without Magic.EDIT: YAY, EQD.
This is basically an end-cap for the Sweet Apple Acres section of my comic, I'm going in a slightly different direction after this.
I'm not deliberately making Celestia mean or stupid, she just needs to be a little oblivious to Twilight's plight. If Celestia knew how much Twilight was hurting, or if she figured out that Twilight was putting on a front for her, she's probably give Twilight her horn and Cutie mark back right away. Which would more or less end the comic.
As I'm mostly reusing vectors, I've experimented with different colors and shadings from my normal pages. It's not even close to the pro-quality of some of the other comics on this site, but it's a little more adventurous than is normal for me.
EDIT: Celesti DOES remember what she did to Twilight. She just thinks that it's odd that Twilight is referring to herself as an Earth Pony. In Celestia's mind, Twilight is still a Unicorn. Even without her horn.

Celestia...why do you piss me off so. You turned her into an earth pony and its been a couple of weeks. Of course her mind is going to adjust and start seeing herself as an earth pony. Also, why don't you bestoe this 'wisdom' onto a few others just to be fair. Applejack uses her hind legs alot so maybe you should make them weak or take away Rainbow Dash's wings since she is all about flying.
I'm sorry but the main problem I am having with this comic is that Celestia would take away the thing that she helped Twilight devolp over years. And then there is the fact that so much is brought up and then forgetten. The whole bit between Celestia and Luna about fearing the light was really good, but then it was tossed to the side so Celestia could say she was right all along. And what about the fighting in Ponyville? Handled off panel? I hope at the very least that when this is over Celestia finds out all of the damages that were caused in order to teach Twilight a lesson.

You're thinking of this along the wrong lines.
Celestia wouldn't take away Rainbow Dash's Wings, as Rainbow Dash flying everywhere isn't causing her to be a one trick pony. The same with Applejack. Bucking Apples isn't getting in the way of her being the Princess of Friendship at some future time.
Rainbow Dash is very self absorbed, so Celestia might give her something that needs taking care of.
Imagine if your art teacher told you to stop using Photoshop and to do some old school art. That's more what I'm going for here.

The point I was trying to make was that they both use those two aspects alot. Applejack uses her highly trained legs in order to applebuck, her redeos, and so on. Rainbow uses her wings for all of her tricks and is the main source of her pride. Both are things they have trained themselves over years like Twilight did with her magic.

Celestia is supposed to be Twilight's mentor, and she thinks that Twilight is concentrating on one thing to the determent of everything else.
It might seem harsh, but this is only a fan-comic, so I didn't really think that I needed to come up with an intricate reasoning for Twilight not having her magic.

That may be true, however as a reader I am just putting out my thoughts at what I believe to be plot holes that I also mentioned. I also believe that you missed a really good opertunity to have them both learn lessons.

Well ... Celestia didn't actually say anything about Earth Ponies.
She only wanted Twilight to find what made her special outside of magic. Twilight came up with the whole Earth Pony bit herself when she misunderstood what Celestia wanted.

Nope, Twilight was born and raised in Canterlot.
Her main experience of "Traditional" Earth Ponies, has been reading about them in books.
Most of the ones that she's known have been society ponies or at the very least city tradesponies.
She could quite reasonably know very little about life as a small town Earth Pony.
Even if you wanted to be pedantic, and say that she'd lived in Ponyville for a whole and know the local Earth Ponies very well, as a bookish pony the odds are that she seen\read about the things that she experienced on Sweet Apple Acres, but she's not actually done them herself before.
It's all well and good studying something, but that's a long way form actually doing it.
