Okaaaaay. For some reason people don't seem to like the idea of Pinkie actually being crazy, so I'm drawing this part of a story to a close soon, and changing the focus of this secondary arc to another character. It's more or less a throwaway side story anyway, with no real effect on the overall Twilight arc, so the character that it focuses on isn't really that important.
It seems that people only likee Pinkie being crazy when she's cutting ponies up. Go figure.
I drew this pages quite a while ago, but never uploaded it, so the style is a bit of a throwback to earlier on in the comic.

yes - (i like pinkamina because the straight hair makes her pretty - need more happy pictures of her - WITHOUT the creepy pasta ) (dont get me wrong i like the idea of pinkamina being a bad-ass (see www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUmqhA… ) it can be funny, just having creepy pasta goes TOO far for me )

still don't understand why pinkie and Octavia are in the institution - does not make sense other than a side story with no relevance other than to remove pinkie from most of the first part of the story (so she didnt break down all 7 walls and THEN go pinkamina on celestal - for comedy effect (hold the pasta) that would have been funny )

If it wasn't for Creepy Pasta, Pinkamina would probably have fizzled out quite early on.
She was one of the main outlets for Dark MLP content during the early days. The straight hair lends itself so well to it as there is already an established body of imagery to draw from based on Japanese Horror. Which uses many Pinkamina like characters. Particularly school girl archetypes. Which is right there for Pinkie.
Then there's Cupcakes.
The reasons for Pinkie and Octavia being in mental institution isn't really all that important. This part of the story only exists so that I can experiment with different things outside of the main story.

As for me, I find the idea of inserting creepypasta / slashers / yanderes / etc. into MLP to be nonsensical, gratuitous, and downright offensive. In that regard, my opinion is similar to tyruvelp's.
However, it seems that our respective stances on the subject are very different. Therefore, I think there would be no point in turning this into a full-fledged debate, which would just result in endlessly throwing arguments at each other.
Let it just be said that I abhor gory horror in general, and in particular when applied to something as cheerful and positive-minded as MLP, which is the main reason I don't like what you've done here.

Offensive?
That's something of a strong word to use.
Bear in mind that Bronies are "adults fans of My Little Pony". While we love the show, we're still grown ups (Well, kinda). So it's only natural that we add more grown up elements into our creations on occasion.
Many of the best Fan-Fictions and comics deal with topics that the show would never touch. It doesn't have to be violent, gory or sexual. Just something that they wouldn't have in the show. Such as politics, or loss.
It's all part of the creative process, and in my opinion having so many people expend the scope of the show keeps the fandom interesting and active.
You may want to reserve judgement until I close the Pinkie arc. The last page is going to be very grown up, but in a good way. It explains most things. Some stuff is just Pinkie being Pinkie. So that can't be explained.

"offensive" was a strong word indeed. However, I truly feel that it is inappropriate to turn a loveable, innocent show into a grimdark story. To me, it doesn't make sense, and simply feels out of place.

It's part of the creative process.
I consider it fair game. It's often the other way round.
A big company gets hold of a franchise and they dumb it down to show it to a younger audience. All of the gritty, real life, emotional stuff that the original fans like gets taken out, and the big company turns the characters into goofy characters fighting ineffectual villains or having wacky adventures.
Look at all of the comic books aimed at teens, or young adults, that were made into cartoons for small children. I've seen comics where the lead character was an alcoholic adult turned into a catroon where the character is now an anxied teen. Death isn't even a factor, romance isn't allowed, and characters entire histories are whitewashed to take out anything that they don't think is child friendly.
They even replace firearms with stun laser to get around TV regulations.
just look at all of the Japanese shows that have had the gay characters censored , or the ages changed? or entire episodes skipped.
Some of them have been entirely re-scripted to set them on different planets.
