Page 56 of my web comic, FiM: Without Magic.My head canon says that Twilight and Trixie are very much alike. In that they have a deep seated sense of insecurity. Twilight doubts her own self worth, and so feels the need to prove her own worth to herself. She studies and improves herself to boost her confidence. In contrast, Trixie's sense of insecurity pushes her to prove herself to others. Which she does by trying to outdo them.
This arc explores why Trixie ended up so different from Twilight.

Lotsa smart, subtle idea's in here with Trixie's backstory. All quite lovely. I like your interpretation of Trixie, she's self-centered and egotistical yes, but she's not rude, cruel, and she does think about the safety of other ponies. I NEVER would've seen the canon TV show version of Trixie trying to convince Twilight NOT to travel at night. Instead, I'd expect the mane characters would have to convince Trixie to shelter with her. But this series Trixie hits all the familiar Trixie-points and immediately describes her past with an extremely fitting backstory. I like this!

She's a Vector of Octavia, but modified so that her hair is up in a bun.
She's not from the show. She's just a quick\easy modification.

I've probably used the mane or the color pallet somewhere else.
I tend to modify existing ponies rather than design whole new ones. It's quicker and helps me to keep the style closer to the show.

Y U use BBBFF ponies for back stories and dream sequences?

I think that it's called papercraft, or felt ponies, or something like that. It's not something that I invented myself.
I use it for pretty much everything that's not supposed to be taken as literal continuity.
I started using it for dream sequences to give it a different look, but I continued with it for back story and so on so that the reader could see that these scenes were not supposed to be continuing from where the last scene left off. Such as flashbacks.
It also gives me a chance to try different styles and techniques, and it give me a break from drawing show accurate scenes.
There have been some very good comics done in this style, if you look for them.

Trixie is a show mare, but sometimes she needs someone that she can tell her real story too. You may say she is longing for a friend deep in her heart, even though she had to surpass this for showbiz.
I knew how Trixie feels, because I once knew a girl, a lead singer of a small religious group. I worked as a backstage runner for a religion charity event once. This girl came to me after the show. She is the lead singer and plays rock guitar (much like RD), and she has many fans and admirers attend the concert. I was curious and ask her of all the fans, why she chooses to talk to me after her show. She said she has nothing to do, and no one to hang out, so just decides to go for a stroll (since she is from another town). We had a pleasant stroll, and she talked about the stuff she loves to do and what drives her to sing. When I asked her why she told me this, she said she is under a bit of stress coming up a new song. I can sense her depression, but to my surprise, after she told me about her story, she seems to gained some inspiration. Her final night performance with her new song was amazing and at her speech she said she gained an inspiration by talking to a not-so-stranger stranger (me). Sadly, after this, I later learnt that she died of leukaemia 2 years after the event. In my opinion, everyone needs someone to express their 'selves' when they are depress (that's why psychiatrist are needed in the community). They need some one to listen as they talk about anything, from their everyday life to their problem, and they will feel somewhat relieve after that.
Oops, sorry for long comment, but I just know how Trixie feels at this point (or perhaps when Hasbro first introduce her in Season 1).

Heh. How long before Twilight realizes the fact that Trixie does in fact know who she is? I'm with chaos, there's little other reason why she'd be this open.
And if Trixie does in fact know who Trixie is, massive respect for her not even bringing up the lacking forehead adornment.

It actually took me quite a while to decide whether Trixie was actually telling Twilight this, or if this was an inner monologue for Trixie, that Twilight doesn't really know about.
On only decided a day or two ago which it would be.

Coming from a family were the younger generation is able to easily get better grades then you, manages to be more successful then you, manages to find a special somepony before you do and makes your dreams feel insignificant, I can relate.

Yep, knew a kid that had one. Also I share a banking account with my family. Because of this my parents can know how many hours I work and how much I make at my current job because the money goes directly into my checking account. Probably would move banks if it wasn't due to the fact that my parents would guilt trip me into coming back and if there is one thing my mom can do, is send you on one hell of a guilt trip.

Whoa, that's harsh.
I had my own bank account when I was about 10. There were all kinds of tax and interest rate incentives and stuff like that, so my folks considered it dumb idea not to do it. You can shove all kinds of money into it and it can't be taxed because you're 18. Kinda like how rich families set up trust funds and stuff.
Aren't your folks worried that you'd mess up their credit rating, or something, or the other way round?
I don't even tell my parents what my Paypal ID is, let alone give them access to my bank account.

I tend to save my money and my credit score is good enough that I could get a car anywhere right now no problem. Despite what the denizens of the internet seem to think, as well as my parents, I do have a life. I make money and I don't go out and spend it on anything. Mostly just food and gas.
