Yaotl's speech is cut short as his eyes widen in speechless shock, to see someone else in the world that looks like Alex. He had known that Alex was different, but seeing another like him was breathtaking.

Initially scared to see another predatory animal approaching, Lyndsey's fear suddenly gives way to awe as she sees Alex and the jaguar roaring, growling, and hissing at one another and realizing they are conversing.
