Straight horizons don't exist in my world

So here's my character, Diego the Umbreon, in a full drawing again after two and-a-half years. I did some experimentation with digital effects I hadn't done before, so the colors look a little different than usual. The story this is a reference to is "Dark Autumn Nights," which is basically about him trying to rescue his Eevee daughter, Ariela, from captors who turn small, fluffy Pokémon into clothing and accessories. The story was never finished, though I started it three years ago. It ends happily though, and these characters are still doing well.

(Yes, I know Umbreons are supposed to be black, but Diego's always been gray, hence his colors here.)
