Woohoo! I figure I'd try something different. It's just an Umbreon that's blinking a lot, but it was still time-consuming. I'm also open to any advice and critique you may have since this is just my first one. I feel that his eyes aren't open quite long enough between the blinks. What do you think? After uploading all the different frames to create your animation, you can create the gif/animation and then download it, and then you can upload it to dA. However, I don't have an iPad so I'm not sure if it'll let you do that or not.

Very great first attempt! It's so cute and I really like the background.
Yeah I also think the blinking rate should be a little slower. And its a little difficult see since its really tiny. What program did you use and how many frames is this animation?

I was concerned with the blinking being too slow actually, maybe I should speed it up then? It's also this size because I might use it as an avatar sometime (or someone else can). I used MS Paint (my only digital art program), and it's 24 frames long (a lot of those frames are just him with his eyes open so that he's not blinking every nanosecond)

Okay. I'll remake the animation but with faster frames and see how it turns out. Should I also crop part of the image so that the Umbreon takes up more of the space? (I admit I like the background there though)

It's completely up to you. I really like this icon and its background (noe don't crop it. Its too beautiful). I was more of giving you suggestions on future animated avatars. Really its great the way it is. Maybe I'm being a tad too critical.
