HUZZAH! I have this challenge thing going on with my friend ~minijuuku , and the most recent one was to paint the main character of our favourite game. Of course, my favourite game is Mass Effect 2, but the problem with that is that the main character can have many different faces. So, instead, I tried to shift focus from the face to the famous N7 logo. I made it a girl because my personal favourite of my own game saves involves a female Shepard. ANYWAYS, yes.

I had a lot of trouble with this painting, since the original colour scheme was supposed to be a bit more space-y. It didn't quite work out, so I kept trying to fix a problem I couldn't properly see. I fooled around on photoshop and liked the warm effect it had on the face, so I made two lighting positions: a warm light in front, to the side a little, and a cold light at the back. I persisted with the painting until I got here, and I'm pretty happy with the result. Not the best, but very interesting. I also experimented and painted with a sketchy-ish style, so that's always lovely. <3 Not the most rendered of paintings, but fully rendered things sometimes bore me. I like rawness.

What else can I say... uhhh... OH YEAH! I got my new laptop, and so I'm finally able to paint at 300dpi (almost) lag free! Also trying out the new Painter 12, and OMG IT'S SO DAMN AWESOME WICKED. I had fun using it, even though some brushes were giving me trouble.

I don't think there's much else to say. I wore my Commander Shepard N7 hoodie while painting this, so I felt ultra special. <3
