That's absolutely terrific!

So I have wondered the same like Adeeba... how exactly do you create the stones and shingles?

Hey, thanks for your kind comment.....If you read my reply to Adeeba you'll see my method for making stone. As for the rest of the stuff:
Roof was made by plastic wire wrap cut in half, then stacked on top one another. I made a big piece, made a silicone mold and proceeded to replicate it using resin. Windows, doors, shutters and balcony rail are photo-etched parts(if you know what that means)...Trellis is by styrene strips(evergreen). Most of the house is hand made, but there's allways stuff you can use...Hope that hepls, feel free to ask any question...Cheers...

Well, from your answer to Adeeba I only got what material you used - does that mean you sculpted every stone by hand? o_O

Plastic wire wrap... I can imagine that, but it would mean that you must have made every shingle one after another with the wire wrap pieces? Must have taken ages... Good that you can replicate it with resin then.

I do know photo etch (laser cut thin brass sheets or sometimes copper)

I am interested in these techniques because I look for a mass-producable way of making structured walls and roofs for my destructable model buildings.

Hi there, thanks for your interest...I use a two part clay called AVES putty...You mix the parts together and then use tools(custom) to give this stone-like appearance...Hope that helps!!! Cheers!

Thanks! That's the point! All houses are replicas of existing traditional greek houses...
