DUDE! this is totally helpful! One question though, do you scan your drawings, or use a kneaded eraser?

drawings are scanned
I've not used a knead-able eraser in ages

Did you use light table on step 4? or only use the HB pencil to cover the 4H guideline?

First off all I want to congratulate you for all your fantastc drawings! You are amazing! You are one of my favorite artists, for sure! I love your style (the fusion between manga and american styles, like CAPCOM or UDON style)
I saw this tutorial, that you had post, right now and I wanted to ask you if the 4H pencil is really good for the quick sketch (this question because sometimes I have some problems with erasing it when I want to make the final drawing). So in your opinion, which pencil is the best for the quick drawing?
Thank you so much and continue to inspire me with all your Amazing drawings!

4H is a very light lead, and I love to use it for my baselines because when scanned, the scanner barely picks up on it (Which is good for me)
personally speaking, I use HB lead for a majority of my drawing really.
What I would suggest is to try out the various lead weights and see which one you feel most comfortable with.

This is basically what I do as well but, i always have a difficult time getting rid of my guide lines after, what should I use?
Th pencils i usually use are .5 on the lead ( I get 'em at work free. LOL!)

i use 4H for guidelines
they work for me, but you could try some lighter leads maybe

I get how to do the whole construction thing, but how do you get your final line scans so dang tidy!? Could just be the small res pic playin tricks on me but I can never get my scans to come up this good at 300 dpi. If it's just the leveling it still leaves a mild grain rhoughness on the final pencils. I want that super smooth crispness that you get with a light box and pressed paper without having to use a light box hehe (too lazy to make/buy one). Do you use a light box?

I woulda mentioned a lightbox if I had used one.

Ah you draw with a 4H for starters and only finish up with a HB. I haven't use anything harder than a HB since drafting classes. I'll have to see what happens with this.
