Ahh... Started this mask Friday morning, and finished it Saturday night.... I worked almost non-stop on this thing. Just so I could enter in #Nintendo's 72-hour Majora's Mask Challenge! I wasn't going to even bother trying, because I didn't think I could make something like this in such little time! But my boyfriend encouraged me to, so I did! And can't believe I finished in time! I didn't even follow a tutorial because no one had one that could work with my very limited supplies..
HOW I MADE THE MASK (if you want to know):
I made the base of the mask with Galvanized Wire and Craft Foam. I basically made a skeleton with the wire, and just Hot Glued pieces of the Craft Foam onto it. I would have used Paper-Mache to smooth out the foam (since it was a bunch of bumpy pieces) but I didn't have time to let it dry. So I rolled out some Model Magic (it's kinda like Paper Clay), and laid it on top of the foam. So that's what smoothed out the base. Then anything you see that made the mask 3-Dimensional was made with the Model Magic. The Spikes were made out of mModel Magic as well, but I didn't want to make it with that, because I knew it would make it heavier. I just didn't have everything I needed, or the time to go get more things. Otherwise I would have used those Styrofoam Cone-things. Anyway, that's pretty much it! I hope that helps answer any questions!
By the way. I doubt I'll win. But now I have my very own Majora's Mask. So I'm happy! Haha : D)
