A Prop I made for my boyfriend for his Birthday! Which was a little over a month ago when I finished it back at The beginning of June (I kept forgetting to get on DeviantArt haha)... But anyway... it was a last minute idea that I started the week of his birthday because I had already made him a present. Which is the jacket he is wearing in the photo. But I wanted to get him something else besides just a jacket (Which was also a project for my sewing class). So here it is! I know its not an exact replica, but its not too bad.And if anyone wants to know I made this out of "PVC Pipe" and a sort of clay called "Apoxie Sculpt”, which is a two part clay which dries really hard, and is pretty sturdy. Good for weapons such as this. You can also sand it pretty easily. I had to sand down EVERYTHING! Which took a long time… even with the sanding power tool. But I still had to do a lot of sanding by hand, especially in the small areas, and the PVC Pipe that I covered in Apoxie sculpt. Oh yeah, and the parts that’s base wasn’t made of PVC was just three sheets of Craft Foam glued together with Hot Glue and Galvanized Wire. The wire was mainly to help make it sturdy, otherwise the Foam would bend and cause the Clay to crack. But yeah, thats pretty much it. And Paint (obviously), lots of it. I also learned that you never want to use spray paint on Apoxie Sculpt. It just never completely dries. I can’t tell you how many times I scraped off the silver paint (Because I thankfully used acrylic paint for the other parts of the Keyblade) before I was told that Spray Paint doesn’t work well with Epoxy based things…. oh well! Haha.
