Here are just a few sketches in my sketch book that I actually liked. Mostly done with an orange col-erase pencil.All of these were from photo reference of some sort. and was done for fun and practice.
The few at the top are of the lovely model ~jesspark whom I still don't think I've captured her yet. But I'll keep trying. She has some really fantastic cosplay photos!
I know, a few at the bottom are referenced from *twittey ,Vintage photography at it's finest.

Are you still coming out to Mystery Sketch Theater on Wednesday? I'm going to worry until I have all the pieces in my hot little hands, but I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll be debuting this year's big new costume at the session. Fingers remain crossed!

And, man, I've been stressing out over this costume since last year... it's finally coming together, and I can just hope that it's done in time for Mystery Sketch Theater! If not, it should definitely be finished for MegaCon, but I think it'd be a blast to draw at MST and I really want to wear it there.

Oh, I did have fun. Your costume looked great and you were really fantastic!! I only really got a few sketches I was kinda happy about I could post.

Last night was especially challenging, since 1) the costume's brand-new and very restrictive, so I'm still learning what I physically can and can't do in it, and 2) since the movie hasn't even come out yet, I don't have a great idea of what poses Sweet Pea would strike. I'm relieved to hear that you had a good time! I was a little worried.
And I'd love to see whatever sketches you were happy with! For the contest, yours was drawn in pink/red pencil, right? Attack of the furry things?

The poses you did WERE fun to draw and really dynamic. A nice change to what I normally draw (cheesecake poses or life drawing poses)

Yes, it was, drawn in that horribly pink pencil. I am such a fan of the col erase pencils but the art stores near by don't carry the one's I'd like (red, blue) Gonna just have to order them.
And, *sigh* yes, attack of the furry things, When they said you have 1 minute left I just had you drawn and didn't know what to dooooo. >_<

Is Mystery Sketch Theater something you think you'd return to? I keep saying that I'm going to dig up my sketchbook and go as an artist (and, in my case, I use the term loosely!); now that it's at The Geek Easy, which is easier for me to get to than Tatame Lounge was, I might have to actually do it.

Yeah, I'd def. go to MST again, I'm always up for drawing. October does sound great, I'll attempt to make it to the next one for sure. That'd be cool if you went there to sketch. Hey, everybody is still learning and do it for good times if anything.

Yeah, they did! Oh, I will I promise! Haha, You know, I think I actually have that same shotgun also. shoots those little yellow pellets? lol

Yep! LOL, I had to make sure I was loading the shell in the right place for my kneeling pose, since the pellets load in a canister that probably isn't even *on* a real shotgun.
Incidentally, most of Sweet Pea's prop shotgun was foam! That would make it a lot easier to carry; as it is, I don't think I'll be able to attach mine to my weapons harness the way I'd like because it's simply too heavy to be supported by that lightweight webbing. Oh, Hollywood!
