Description 's Dragon Age meme; I meant to do 's originally, but got them mixed up and didn't realize it until I was halfway done. Whoo, go me! I still liked this one anyway, so I went ahead and finished it. Too lazy/busy to color it all, so... Uh... enjoy my halfarsery!

Anyway... Legam was my 2nd/4th playthrough Warden. Fasais, my Dalish elf, was my first. I went with Legam because he's become my favorite Warden thus far. I blame Leliana and her sappy romance.

Ahaha, I see you're putting your stuff up in DragonAgeClub. I was kinda wondering for a mo' why all your old stuff was popping up in my inbox again.

Well, since I'm here I might as well point out that Legam's wtf face in number eight never fails to make me laugh. I don't know why, just something about it I find really humorous. You do wonderful facial expressions--I'm sure you get that a lot but it can't be said enough.

Yeah, I dunno why it took me this long to discover it, considering I usually look for new DA art at least once a day. I'm slow.

I love WTF faces. They're really fun to draw. Heck, I just love drawing faces in general. But I suppose that shows, since I get complimented on my expressions a lot. I'll admit, I don't mind hearing it over and over, because it and body language are the two main focuses I have when drawing characters... And drawing characters is my primary drawing focus, period.

Dunno if you ever read it, but I work on a webcomic (used to be 5 days a week, currently 1 day a week updates while I'm job hunting/still DA obsessed) and I have a REAL fun time with expressions on it. It's here if you're interested . It's got nothing to do with Dragon Age, but it's a fantasy action/adventure/comedy thing I wrote with a friend after I created a fantasy setting. Being a cultural studies/history buff has its advantages if you're trying to create your own lore.

So I guess you're the opposite of Hitler, then? [/Historical Humor]

Awesome, I'll take a look at it this weekend. I can't right now considering I'm busy studying for two tests--one tomorrow and one Friday--and I'm just taking a quick break right now.

I guess you could say that.

There's no rush. It's 751 pages long so far; most people I know take quite a while to go through it. I apologize for the earlier art/talk bubbles. All the errors in the art of the earliest chapters bug me a lot, but I try to remind myself they're also four years old at this point. Webcomics are a learning process, and I've improved a LOT since starting.

Holy S. That's a lot of pages. I'm rather impressed that you were able to keep up a Monday through Friday updating schedule, though. I've never known any comic with that level of art that has that schedule--the only one I've read that had a Monday-Friday schedule was a sprite comic of all things. "Bob and George" to be exact. A meh comic all in all but it gets points for being the first sprite comic of all time.

I had a buffer for years up until last semester, when I got busy with my senior gallery show and DA addicted. That played a big part in being able to update so often. That, and coloring pages usually only took me 1 1/2 hours, and I could easily color pages between classes. Now that I currently have nowhere specific to be until I get a job, it's actually harder to schedule my time and get time and/or motivation to draw pages enough to get the buffer back up. I'm sure I will eventually, but at the moment it's slow.

Mage Rule! My favourite Warden is also a mage. They are dead useful when casting AOE and have the privileges wearing something long (I found it a little disturbing when able to peek through people's short armor. Not that if it's Zevran or Ali....but Arl Howe as well.....). Some expression on your Warden is priceless! I could help myself in stitches.

Ha ha, thanks.

Yes, Leliana... I'm officially a fangirl of her. She needs more fan art on here, I think. Alistair's stealing the show. I'm actually working on a series of 12 fan arts related to the Leliana romance and my male mage here to even the fan art field a bit.

XD If you were a gamer, Rowan, I'd demand that you play this game.

Also: I graduate next week! D: If you're able, you should come down before I move back to Gwinnett so everybody can see each other again!

Next week! Congrats! Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to go. My work schedule is hectic. I just racked up 70+ hours this pay period (biweekly) and I'm not even a manager.

I'll see if Regis can go in my place.

Haha, I love #7! XD
And huge nod for no visual spells in cutscenes! I mean trying to have a serious moment here and surrounded by red spots...yeah...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheDalishRanger In reply to freyah [2009-12-01 17:52:40 +0000 UTC]

I felt one of his (apparently) favorite things to say before entering combat actually summed him up quite nicely.

Seriously! Don't get me wrong, it can lead to some great side-splitting unintentional humor when you're engulfed in flame while talking to someone casually, but... Sometimes, I just want the scenes to look as serious as they are supposed to be, right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

freyah In reply to TheDalishRanger [2009-12-01 18:22:24 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, for some reason my persuasion was very high and people sort of went "Oh...you _don't_ want to fight? Allrighty then, byeee!"
Which is good, really, but the greedy side of me was all "Well, I bet they had fantastic loot, well done moral and ethics... *golf clap*".

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheDalishRanger In reply to freyah [2009-12-01 19:02:29 +0000 UTC]

Oh, no - Legam could persuade his way out of most fights where there was the option. It's just the voiceset I gave him had the "Can't we all just get along? No?" as one of his "We're entering combat!/Enemies sighted!" type soundbytes, and it's the one he used the most.

That's why I replay different characters with different personalities... Legam's definitely the most softhearted of all my Wardens.

removing spell effects in cutscenes is a good idea. I was hoping I would get to travel outside Farelden too. maybe in the expansion. . . . Expansion you say. . . .no but here is to hoping lol

TheDalishRanger In reply to littlegoblet [2009-12-03 19:07:18 +0000 UTC]

For some reason I missed this comment... Durp!

Yes, the effects during cutscenes could get quite distracting at times. I seem to have a talent for leaving people frozen or on fire during conversations. Hilarious, but it kills serious scenes.

As for leaving Ferelden... I don't see it making too much sense in line with Dragon Age's plot/Blight coming in "quickly", but... It would be awesome for a sequel.

littlegoblet In reply to TheDalishRanger [2009-12-04 11:09:41 +0000 UTC]

you have a point. A cool sequel would make better sense. Have you ever played Baldur's Gate by any chance??

TheDalishRanger In reply to littlegoblet [2009-12-04 14:32:21 +0000 UTC]

Oh, of course! Baldur's Gate II has been my favorite video game for about six or seven years now, though Dragon Age might soon become tied with it for that slot. I've been a big fan of Bioware's games since Neverwinter Nights came out. Played almost all of their games at this point.

yeah they got a good reputation for awsome games. I haven't played them all but I am a fan of Baldurs gate, Neverwinter Nights and now dragon age. More please lol

Jade Empire was also great, if a tad short. If you like Star Wars, I'd highly recommend Knights of the Old Republic. Heck, even if you aren't a huge Star Wars Fan, it's a fantastic game. And of course, there's Mass Effect. I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, but I greatly enjoyed that one; I've beaten it... Uh... About 10 times now?

littlegoblet In reply to TheDalishRanger [2009-12-08 08:01:00 +0000 UTC]

My brother played Jade Empire and said he realy liked it. I am not a fan or star wars but I like it enough to watch the movies
I am hearing more about this Mass Effect. I will have to check it out. I am not much of a sci-fi fan either, but if the game has got rich elements like Dragon age I could see myself playing it.

10 times. . .wow that is impressive

As I said, I'm not really a sci-fi fan and I liked Mass Effect enough to play it all those times. Bioware is good at what they do.
