If I may, the figure, lighting and burners are all good, but you've got too much smoke for open burners like those, and you seem to have drafts blowing towards the middle of the scene from both sides. Ok, that's not impossible, but it would suggest a chimney above her lower ribs, out of shot, and then the smoke would eddy upwards rather than down. Don't rely on SFX as reference here because, at minimum, you don't know where any ventilation fans the film team are using might be.

I get what you are saying. With burners like these, the smoke would normally be black too. But this is supposed to be smoke with magical qualities I suppose that aims for her. In terms of technicality, I like to think of my work as a customized photoshoots with lights, reflectors, fans etc. and all the other props necessary, but out of the frame. So you could think that there are fans outside the frame in this, making the smoke behave that way. IMO, one great thing about photomanipulations is that you can take liberties with the things that aren't realistic. Movies use CGI etc. for that kind of stuff, photographers use artificial lighting and photomontage/manip. Hope that makes sense.

That all makes sense yes. I really just thought that, knowing you, if you had reservations about a piece, you'd want other people who had their won reservations about it to voice what they were.

Of course! I don't mind it at all and welcome all the criticism and really appreciate that you took out time to write how you feel about it. I encourage you to continue doing it. I just tried to make you see my point of view. It's more like a discussion. Some criticisms I will agree with, in some I'll try to explain the story behind the flaws you see so maybe you'll see the work in a different light. But that doesn't take one bit away from me appreciating you expressing your opinions about it.
